Easy Eggs Benedict Recipe With Hollandaise Sauce

Imagine having a hot buttered toasted muffin, with the goodness of bacon and poached eggs which perfectly fits your desire served with creamy Hollandaise sauce, all at about the same time. Making Eggs Benedict is easier than you think especially if you have bacon oven racks! It just takes a little planning and know-how. It is a perfect meal to start your day.

INGREDIENTS

8 slices of bacon

4 eggs

2 teaspoons vinegar

2 Muffins

Butter

Chopped parsley for garnish

Directions For Eggs Benedict Using Bacon Oven Racks

Step 1: Pre-Heat the oven

Preheat the oven to 375°F to 400°F on bake.

Step 2: Lay The Bacon On Bacon Oven Racks

Place the bacon oven racks to a custom drip pan or an oven-safe pan. Lay the bacon slices side by side on the rack making sure the bacon doesn’t touch the pan.

Step 3: Cook The Bacon

  • Cook for 20-25min depending upon the length and thickness until it turns brown and crispy. Use tongs or similar utensils to remove the bacon from the bacon oven racks.

Step 4: Bring poaching water to a simmer

Take a pot or large saucepan and fill it with two-third of water and bring the water to a boil. When you see small bubbles coming to the surface, add the vinegar. Bring the water to a boil again, then lower the heat to simmer.

Step 5: Poach the eggs

Crack an egg into a small bowl or cup and slip it into the simmering water. Once it begins to solidify, you can slip in another egg, until you have all four cooking.

Cook the egg in simmering water for 4 minutes, depending on how soft or runny you want your egg yolk. Carefully remove the poached egg with the help of a slotted spoon.

Step 6: Toast the muffins

As soon as all the eggs are cooked, begin toasting your muffins by preheating the grill and toasting each half for about 1 to 2 minute.

Step 7: Assemble your Eggs Benedict

To assemble your eggs benedict, take the toasted muffin and butter one side of it. Top with slices of bacon. You can trim the bacon to fit the muffin if you’d like. Season it with some pepper. Put the poached egg on top of the bacon slices and sprinkle some chopped parsley over it.

You can also pour some hollandaise sauce over it to make it taste much better. And then serve at once.

How To Make Homemade Hollandaise Sauce:

The eggs benedict sauce is also called Hollandaise Sauce. Take 3 egg yolks, ½ teaspoon lime juice, heavy cream, salt to taste and pepper. To make homemade hollandaise, blend all the ingredients on medium to high-speed until eggs lighten in colour.

Add in the hot melted butter and blend again. Taste and adjust salt or lemon juice to taste.
