Ingredients
Step 1: Preheat The Oven
Adjust the bacon oven racks to the centre and bottom positions, place a griddle or skillet on the bottom rack, then preheat the oven to 425˚F.
Step 2: Bake the bacon
Place the slices of bacon on oven racks inside an oven pan and let it become golden brown and crisp for about 25 mins.
Step 3: Make Patties
While bacon cooks, mix the grounded beef with mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, granulated garlic, salt to taste and 1 teaspoon black pepper in a medium bowl. Stir to mix it properly until the flavours are evenly distributed in the mixture. Then divide and shape ground beef into small patties to about 3/4-inch-thick patties, slightly wider than the buns.
Step 4: Bake The Patties
Place your patties for about 15 minutes at 160˚F. Let the patties continue to cook a little before you take them out of the oven. If you like more cooked burgers, you can cook them for a bit more. Add cheese slide over each patty before 2 minutes prior taking them out of the oven. Cook until cheese melts. Transfer all the patties to a plate. Season it with salt and pepper on all sides and set aside.
Step 4: Extra Topping
Add onions to a skillet or griddle and cook until it turns soft and lightly brown for about 5 minutes. Season it with a pinch of salt and pepper and keep aside.
Step 5: Get The Buns Ready
Brush each side of the bun with melted butter. Bake it in the oven until toasted about 2 minutes per side.
Step 6: Ready To Serve
Spread some ketchup over the bun. Then place 1 patty on each bun bottom and put some fried onion and crispy fried bacon slices. Top it with your desired bun toppings and get ready to serve these amazing bacon cheeseburger with some french fries.
Extra tip: You can also add mashed avocado topping. Healthy, versatile and one of the most absolute burger toppings.
Take a large bowl, mash the avocado with lime juice and a pinch of salt to taste. The lemon juice helps prevent the avocado from turning brown giving it an amazing flavour.
